Mike DePew is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in arthroscopic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine. He assists Dr. Ryan Dopirak in the evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic patients with knee and shoulder injuries. He also helps to provide care for athletes of all ages.
Mike received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. He began his medical career as a combat medic in the United States Army, serving during the Persian Gulf War. He then chose to further his medical training by earning his degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison Medical School. He subsequently completed post-graduate orthopaedic residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Mike has 15 years of experience working as a PA in orthopaedic surgery. Mike works closely with Dr. Dopirak, both in the office and in surgery, and helps to ensure that high quality orthopaedic care is delivered to each patient at HFM Lakeshore Orthopaedics.
