Welcome to The Sports Medicine Clinic

The field of medicine is vast and constantly changing. As the influence of sports and athletics has expanded in our culture, the field of sports medicine has emerged.  Sports medicine focuses on all aspects of medical care pertaining to the athletic population.

From our children in little league, to the competitive collegiate or professional athlete, to the elderly who start an exercise program for its health benefits, the field of sports medicine influences millions of people. At HFM Lakeshore Orthopaedics, we have two doctors who are fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine.  This specialized training has provided our physicians with a unique understanding of athletic injuries and their impact on the musculoskeletal system.

Dr. Ryan Dopirak is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who has completed fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.  If surgery is required for a sports-related condition, he is proficient in all of the current state-of-the-art surgical techniques, which will provide you with the best outcome possible.

Our doctors work as a team, providing comprehensive care for athletes of all ages and activity levels.  We have significant experience working with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels, and currently serve as team physicians for several local high schools and colleges.  Our doctors work closely with athletic trainers and physical therapists, creating an individualized treatment plan for each patient in order to help you get back into the game!
